Fireplace Styling With Lois Connors

Fireplace Styling With Lois Connors

When we moved into our new home - we moved from a new build to a Victorian terrace, the top of my wish list was a fireplace to faff! I actually found a fire surround on eBay and had sanded and painted it before we even had the keys! 🖤

I just love styling and seasonal decor - a fireplace is the perfect blank canvas. I decided to paint my chimney breast and fire surround all the same colour - Farrow and Ball pitch black. That way I just knew anything styled against it would POP!

When I have an idea in mind I always start with the mantle. Generally speaking I will have a piece I want to showcase which I place centrally and then work outwards from there. I love to add in dried flowers, vases for height, candles or prints. 🐆 You can then move downwards and add in some bigger items such as floor vases or ceramic animals. More is more! 🤍

Seasonally we have had Christmas looks, a Valentine’s mantle, and now we are moving into the more colourful seasons - my current pink and black scheme will make way for pastels and bold colour 💕.

Fireplace styling is such an inexpensive way to switch up your decor, I find my favourite ornaments and accessories can look fresh styled in amongst seasonally bits and bobs.

Let your imagination run wild!!!!!!!
